Turtle Project
Buying Time: Active Stewardship of Rare Turtles in the Old Ausable Channel

Thanks to Kelders Trailer Sales for their generous donation of the use of a trailer to house the turtle crew while they are working in the park this year.

The turtle research project is a collaboration between the The Friends of Pinery Park and PhD candidate Christina Davy (University of Toronto). The project is supported through grants from SAR Stewardship Fund, Mountain Equipment Co-op (2010), TD Friends of the Environment Foundation, Canada Summer Jobs and NSERC (Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada).
